Because you are amazing, we have succeeded in raising over $950 towards a shipment of computers for a community center in Garoua. While my counterpart and I had originally requested 20 computers for his center, upon further reflection of costs/space/other such logistical factors, we’ve decided to cut back to 13 to minimize transportation costs once the computers arrive in Cameroon, setup costs for the center, etc.
Which means… (drum roll, dun dun dun) … WE HAVE MET OUR GOAL! Right now we’re waiting on funding from other groups in Cameroon before our 13 computers + printer arrive at our doorstep (the World Computer Exchange sends them in groups of 200, so even though our computers are paid for, the other pallets need to receive funds before they can all be shipped together). The estimated shipment date is sometime in March, but I’ll keep you all updated on the progress.
Once again, a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you. Seriously. You are all wonderful and I love you infinitely.
